Contact Form, Help and Rhymes Updates

Rhyming Dictionary Add comments

We added a few improvements to Lilac Writer.

At the bottom of each page you will now find links to this Blog, a new Contact Us form, and Help.

The blog link is a quick link to this blog. The blog entries have more detailed articles on some of the features, so you might want to check out the earlier posts.

The Contact Us link goes to a new form to make it easy to send questions, comments or other feedback to the Lilac Writer team.

We have also rolled out a new feature in the Rhymes tab. When you look-up rhymes, the perfect rhymes are shown first the larger list from NearRhyme.com. Perfect rhymes are those with matching vowel sounds and ending consonant.

We have clearly indicated BETA on this section as we evaluate the effectiveness of the searches for Perfect Rhymes.

If you have any questions or comments please let us know. You can try out the new Contact Us form in the processes!

Happy Songwriting.

Jul 2, 2009 at 11:23 PM Hi, I was wondering what happened to nearrhyme.com, I
noticed that it was down or 'pending renewal'. I just
wanted to say that I think nearrhyme is the best tool
for rhymes I've used on the net and hope that it stays
afloat. Shoot me an email and let me know what you need
to keep it going or what I could do to help...

Jul 4, 2009 at 6:29 PM Josh, we were wondering the same thing. The near rhyme site has been a useful alternative to rhymezone.com. We don't know who was behind nearrhyme.com so I can't answer your question directly.

At Lilac Writer, we are designing a rhyming look up with strong near rhyme capabilities. If you have any suggestion, let me know know. It won't be fully realized for s while but when we start to roll it out we will announce it here in this blog.

Jul 7, 2009 at 11:43 AM I looked up stats on Alexa finding rhymer.com is more popular than rhymezone.com. But rhymezone is avg 10k pages views daily!

You might want to consider launching your rhyming engine as an separate site too with promotion back to lilac.

Jul 7, 2009 at 11:59 AM Art, I have been thinking about that. I think we can do some unique things to make our rhyme look up work better for songwriters than these other options. The writers that will appreciate that might be the same ones that can take advantage of Lilac Writer.
